“STAY IN OUR LITTLE CORNER OF THE WORLD”
Without you, we’re nothing. Theatre is a social medium that involves conversation and interaction between the actors and the audience. The play brings everyone together to experience a piece of reflective light that can be taken away in each person’s heart and nurtured, or tossed into the slightest wind of indifference or fear.
Swiftly Tilting Theatre Project desires to create a community of audience members and artists who can share experiences and discuss important matters to the community of audience members and artists.
Our theatre company is here to bring people together, share experiences, feelings regardless of age, gender, ethnicity, race, social status, sexual orientation, or favorite breakfast cereal. We will bring some laughter and some tears that we all can share; we will bring challenging productions that will question beliefs and viewpoints that will be open for debate. We are here to open communication between people and to create a community where people feel safe to explore new worlds, confront set paradigms, and learn to respect each other’s differences. These experiences should drive us to help each other out, fight for “the little guy,” and share our perspective with others.
This connection is an active dialogue of energy during the performance; learning through lectures, workshops, and discussions before and after performances; taking part in outreach activities that support our members; and providing inexpensive or free experiences for all.
Theatre should be accessible to all and to do that we need your help. Through donations, we can keep costs low so that anyone who wants to see a show can; through volunteering we can reach more people and put together quality shows for everyone. Please consider helping out in either or both areas so that the dream can become a reality.
